Saturday we ventured into town for the first time on our own (well with Doug) and took the dala dala (public transportation). Now, that was an experience! We heard of two good restaurants in town, the Coffee Shop (famous for their banana shakes) and Deli Chez (good Indian food). We found some Americans on the roof-top of Deli Chez so we decided to check it out. And…what are the odds we would walk into a restaurant in Moshi only to find someone from Louisville, KY?!?! Didn’t take long for Audrey and Duncan to recognize one another…. A familiar face from home, so sweet! Spent the rest of the weekend with the TZ peace corp, led by Duncan (Audrey’s friend from high school). We love the PCVs for teaching us about the village TZ life, Kiswahili slang, cool hangout spots & good restaurants in Moshi… Check out Duncan’s blog (http://duncanewing.blogspot.com/)!
